Gunzenhausen
The Gunzenhausen City Museum, not far from the Ansbach Gate, also called the Blasturm, and in the immediate vicinity of the city's Archaeological Museum, offers exhibitions on the subjects of 18th and 19th century furniture, regional costumes and ceramics on four floors. The faience tiles on display come from the Gunzenkirchen hunting lodge.
The Ansbacher Tor or the Blasturm is the last surviving gate from the 15th century of the city of Gunzenhausen. The 33 meter high tower from 1466 is covered with a polygonal tent roof, which is closed by a lantern.
The archaeological museum of the Central Franconian city of Gunzenhausen focuses on the presentation of the history of the region from the Neolithic to the early Middle Ages.
Gunzenhausen Hunting Lodge is located on the edge of Gunzenhausen's old town near the Blasturm. The castle dates from the early 18th century and now houses the guest's house. The castle park with its old trees also dates from the time when the hunting lodge was built.
