You will experience the most beautiful sections of the European Cycle Route E6 between Passau and the Iron Gate, in addition to a great boat ride through the vastness of Hungary, the Danube Bend or the breakthrough valley through the wild Carpathians. The national parks Duna-Dráva and Kopački rit (swamp area) as well as the Silver Lake in Serbia offer lasting impressions.

Route
Friday, individual arrival

to Passau by train or car. Transfer from the Donau Touristik private parking lot or Passau main station to the ship. Boarding from 4:30 PM. During the welcome dinner at around 7:00 PM, set sail through the Danube loop at Schlögen, passing along the longest slope and gorge forests in Central Europe near Aschach (passage at around 9:30 PM).

Saturday, Wachau (45 km)

Distribution of rental bikes. Bike tour from Pöchlarn via Melk, with its impressive abbey, and further to the wine villages of Spitz, Dürnstein to Krems (UNESCO World Heritage).

Sunday, Danube Meadows/Bratislava (48 km)

Optional: guided city walking tour of Bratislava (approximately 1 hour). Bike tour car-free to the Danubiana Meulensteen island (individual visit: gallery, cafes, etc.) and further over the Lužný Bridge and along the Danube Cycle Path to Šamorín.

Monday, Puszta (58 km)

Optional: guided tour of Kalocsa Cathedral and Baroque Episcopal Palace. From around 11:30 AM, car-free past herds of cattle, pigs, and horses to the Baroque city of Baja.

Tuesday, Sava Cycle Path (45 km)

Arrival around noon in Belgrade. Optional: city tour with Kalemegdan Fortress (duration approximately 2.5 hours). Along the Sava Cycle Path to Ada Ciganlija Island and further to Lake Savsko Jezero. Return via the famous cyclist bridge in Brankov and the car-free Waterfront district.

Wednesday, Iron Gate and Kladovo (28 km)

By bike to the Turkish fortress Fetislam and further to a winery near Vrbica/Korbovo. Then back to the ship. By ship through the 120 km rocky route of the Iron Gate at around 7:30 PM (sunset around 8:00 PM).

Thursday, Silver Lake (34 km)

After breakfast, to Golubac (Serbia's largest fortress, individual visit). Continue by ship to Veliko Gradište during lunch. Bike tour Veliko Gradište, car-free to Silver Lake/Srebrno Jezero, and back.

Friday, Metropolis of Vojvodina (34 km)

After breakfast, arrival in Novi Sad with a magnificent cityscape and the former capital of Southern Hungary. Along the car-free Danube Cycle Path to a Čarda (small restaurant) with the opportunity for a break and back to the ship. Optional: city tour with Petrovaradin Fortress.

Saturday, Duna-Dráva National Park (48 km)

In the late morning, through the national park to Kölked (Stork Museum), on to the Sátorhely Memorial, and back.

Sunday, Budapest (24 km)

Optional: city tour by bus (duration approximately 3 hours). Bike tour to Margaret Island. Boat ride through the festively illuminated Danube metropolis.

Monday, Esztergom Cathedral and Slovakian Danube Cycle Path (56 km)

On car-free dam paths through small, dreamy villages like Moča to the fortress town of Komárno. Return rental bikes near the landing stage.

Tuesday, Vienna

Disembarkation after breakfast until 10:30 AM and bus transfer to the Donau Touristik private parking lot/Passau main station for the journey home or an extended night in Vienna.


Program changes on the journey are, in the interest of your safety, at discretion of the 1st captain due to factors such as high water, low water, or other cases of FORCE MAJEURE, at any time (even at short notice). Arrival times are subject to lock waiting times and normal water levels.
