Top Sightseeing

On the ground floor of the Visitor Centre, visitors can use interactive tools, a demonstration exhibition and personalised information to get a comprehensive picture of the main sights of the thousand-year-old city, current programmes and exchange tickets for the sightseeing train. In the basement of the building, you can taste wine and see the Paprika Museum exhibition, which shows the stages of cultivation and processing of Hungaricum Kalocsa paprika.

Culture & Events

Visitors to the Paprika Museum can learn all about the history, extraction, the different varieties and the distribution of the spicy paprika. The experience is enhanced by the several thousand peppers hanging from the rafters of the house, visually and fragrantly framed in autumn. Kalocsai paprika is thus called an edible Hungaricum.

Culinary

Kalocsa offers several restaurants, not only typical Hungarian dishes, but also national and international cuisine.
