The Danube Cycle Route Passau - Bratislava is considered the origin of all long-distance cycle routes in Europe. From the narrow Kerbtal valley to the expanses of the Donau-Auen National Park, you will experience charming landscapes on a flat route away from motorised traffic. Monasteries, castles, palaces and baroque towns line the route.

Individual arrival in Passau by train or car by 16:30, transfer from Donau Touristik parking lot or Passau train station to the ship. Welcome snack. "Cast off" around 19:30.
Saturday, Schlögen – Linz (56 km)Handover of rental bikes. Cycle fom the natural spectacle of the Schlögener Schlinge to Linz. Optional: Concert on the Bruckner Organ in the late afternoon.
Sunday, Strudengau Linz – Grein (57 km)The cycle path leads directly into the countryside past the castles of Pragstein, Wallsee and Greinburg.
Monday, Ybbs – Wachau Dürnstein (59 km)Cycle from the Gothic town of Ybbs through Gottsdorf and Emmersdorf to the Wachau, passing the wine village of Spitz to Dürnstein.
Tuesday, Wachau and Wienerwald (47 km)Cycle through the Wachau to Krems (UNESCO World Heritage, Gozzoburg, Kremser Pfennig, Piarist Church, Old Town). Continue to Tulln. Lunch on board and by boat to Vienna. Optional: guided bus tour of Vienna (2 hours) after dinner.
Wednesday, Vienna by bike (27 km) or National Park Donau-Auen (68 km)Explore Vienna by bike or visit the National Park Donau-Auen. Optional: Visit the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna. Lunch on board or picnic for the active option. Boat trip through the National Park to Hainburg and Bratislava. Active option: Cycle on car-free Danube paths from Wolfsthal to Bratislava.
Thursday, Wachau and Strudengau (52 km)Optional visit to Melk Abbey before cycling past Pöchlarn and Freyenstein to Grein. Return of rental bikes.
Friday, DisembarkationDisembark by 10:00. Transfer from the ship to Donau Touristik parking lot or Passau train station and departure.
