Route
Day 1, Arrival

To Passau. Pick up of the rental bikes at the information point or at the arrival hotel. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel.

Day 2, Schlögener Schlinge (40 km)

Individual sightseeing of Passau - the city of three rivers; then past the Engelszell Abbey to view the natural landscape highlight of the oxbow- shaped river bend at the Schlögener Schlinge. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel in Schlögen or Wesenufer.

Day 3, Linz (56 km)

A romantic ride through the sparsely populated narrow valley to Aschach. Via Ottensheim to the city of culture - Linz. Overnight stay at 4☼☼☼☼hotel.

Day 4, Wallsee/Perg (48 km)

You will pass Lake Öd and reach the oldest city of Austria, Enns (a historical centre), then a crossing by ferry to Mauthausen and on to this day’s destination. Overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel.

Day 5, Marbach/Melk (58 km)

On through the romantic region "Strudengau" and continue to Marbach at the base of Maria Taferl or to Melk. Overnight stay in 3☼☼☼hotel.

Day 6, Krems/Traismauer (54/69 km)

Past the lovely vineyards of the Wachau; Then by ferry to Arnsdorf and on to the UNESCO-World Heritage City of Krems or Traismauer. Overnight stay in 3☼☼☼hotel.

Day 7, Vienna (63/78 km)

You will reach Vienna via Tulln, the city of flowers. To shorten your rout you can take the S-Bahn (runs every 30 minutes, costs approx. € 10.10 payable at the time ). Stay overnight in a 4☼☼☼☼hotel near the Danube or the city centre.

Day 8, Journey home

Bus return from the hotel in Vienna every Saturday and additionally every Sunday from June to August; on other days, return by train (2nd class/free choice of trains, every 2 hours, no transfer to/from the train station). Daily return transfer of personal bikes is possible at € 30.- (E-bike € 36.-).
