Heat Campaign

In the Off Season from July 24th to August 9th, you can rent bikes free of charges or e-bikes at a rental bike price of € 95 and half board for just € 50.

Route
Day 1, Arrival in Mallnitz

Parking at the hotel or the nearby public car park (3 minutes' walk) included. Your rental bike (if booked) is waiting for you at the hotel. Overnight stay in a good 3☼☼☼hotel in Mallnitz. We recommend an extra night with a cycle tour to the Stappitzer See nature reserve.

Day 2, Spittal/Seeboden (51 km)

Along the valley floor via Obervellach to Spittal/Seeboden. Overnight stay in a good 3☼☼☼hotel in Spittal or Seeboden on Lake Millstätter See.

Day 3, Villach (42 km)

Very beautiful and car-free route along and near the Drau to Villach. Overnight stay in a beautiful 4☼☼☼☼ or 3☼☼☼hotel.

Day 4, Valbruna/Malborghetto (44 km)

Slight uphill to the day's destination. Overnight stay in a cosy 3☼☼☼☼hotel.

Day 5, Carnia/Venzone (59 km)

Cycle through the centrepiece of the Alpe Adria cycle path to Pontebba and your destination for the day. Overnight stay in a good 3☼☼☼hotel in Carnia or Venzone.

Day 6, Tricesimo/Tarcento (42 km)

Past Venzone through alluvial forests to Gemona and the day's destination. Overnight stay in a beautiful 3☼☼☼hotel in Tricesimo or Tarcento.

Day 7, Palmanova (46 km)

Continue to Udine (Piazza Liberta, old town centre) and the Venetian fortress town. Overnight stay in a central 3☼☼☼hotel.

Day 8, Grado/Monfalcone (38/61 km)

A well-known sight is on the way today: Aquileia, the former Roman imperial residence with the most important excavations in the whole of northern Italy. Optionally to Grado (overnight stay in a 3☼☼☼hotel) or on a wonderful cycle path to enchanting Monfalcone (overnight stay in a 4☼☼☼☼hotel).

Day 9, Departure

Every Friday and Saturday return transfer by bus from the central Piazza Carpaccio/Grado ( approximately 400 m from the hotel) or from the hotel in Monfalcone to the hotel in Mallnitz (arriving at around 13:00). Return transfer own bike + € 38,- (limited places). Remaining days on your own (discount € 55,-).
