The Kornhaus, operational since 1749, is considered the most iconic landmark of the town and a must-see historical grain storage building in Switzerland. The former Mariaberg Monastery is another significant monastic complex well worth a visit. Especially popular among pilgrims is the Jakob Fountain, located in the town area, which marks the starting point of the Camino de Santiago to Santiago de Compostela.
The two castles, Wartensee and Wartegg, are magnificent buildings that are definitely worth seeing. In the 17th century, knights stationed there protected the road to the Rhine Valley.
