Worth seeing are the medieval market square in Bernkastel with its gabled half-timbered houses from the 17th century and the Renaissance town hall from 1608. Also the former summer residence of the Archbishops of Trier.

The Mosel Cycle Path leads through a landscape full of highlights, combining German, Luxembourgian and French lifestyle.The Mosel cycle path covers a distance of 310 kilometers and covers the German course of the Mosel. In addition, the Perl route network on the German-French-Luxembourg border to Thionville in France has been expanded.

The Maare-Mosselle cycle path leads vacationers along a former railway line through two regions, the cultural landscape of the Mosel and that of the Eifel. For this tour there is also a cyclist bus that runs regularly between Bernkastel-Kues and Daun.

Mineral-rich, finely fruity balanced white vines, especially Rieslings, thrive along the Moselle and its tributaries Saar and Ruwer.The region is the fifth largest vine-growing region in Germany, the Celts and Romans used the steep slopes of slate rock and the soils made of 400 million year old slate for vine production 2000 years ago.

Bernkastel-Kues has a top position in the ranking of German climatic health resorts. In the district of Kueser Plateau there are four large clinics of the MEDIAN Rehabilitation Center Bernkastel- Kues near the spa park and the spa guest center.
