The twin houses on the market square are considered a special landmark of the city of Bad Mergentheim. Opposite the town hall, the two houses connected by a portal arch were built almost in the early classicist style around 1780.Today the Hof-Apotheke is in the building on the right and a coffee house in the left. The Milchlingsbrunnen is located at the intersection of the twin houses and the old town hall. In 1926, the fountain was erected on this central square on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of the healing springs and recognition of the city as a spa.The old town hall dates from the 16th century, the central element of the building is the striking gable and the magnificent knight's hall on the first storey. The building served as the town hall of the city of Bad Mergentheim until 2007, today the tourist information is housed there. In addition, city tours start regularly from here.
